Corinthian Ave Residence is a custom design project for a private owner in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia. The design proposes a new three-story structure with the first floor incorporating the public living spaces in a large open plan. At the second and third floor are two bedrooms, artist studio, and private office. At the roof level, a pilot house gives access to a roof terrace with views to the city skyline beyond. The design includes a residential elevator to allow for accessibility and aging in place. The palette of materials includes brick, limestone, and shou sugi ban (charred wood) rainscreen siding.
